I bought the three Clifford books because someone had taken Clifford's Christmas from our school library. We also did not have the books about Clifford and snow and Clifford's kitten. These books are very popular with kindergarten and first graders, as well as some second graders, and are checked out each week. The children really enjoy them. I volunteer at Coyle Avenue School in Carmichael and the children in this school are in a transitional neighborhood, sometimes as many as 5 or 6 leaving the school in a week, so it was nice to find something they liked for such a reasonable price. Thank you.

A must-have book for medical students and foundation doctors

Rapid Psychiatry is a concise, pocket-size guide giving a comprehensive overview of psychiatric conditions, with key facts on epidemiology and symptoms in bullet points - ideal for medical or nursing student revision. The authors clearly have a good understanding of psychiatry undergradaute exam questions. The section on pharmacology I found extremely helpful for my finals!

It gives excellent advice on how to structure a written psychiatric history which was invaluable when I started my foundation job in psychiatry. In addition, the pages on differential diagnosis for acute confusional state were very useful during my general medical jobs; it's a great quick reference for all the possible causes of delirium.

I would recommend this book to medical students in all years and other foundation doctors. It is much less wordy than the Oxford handbook of psychiatry and the Maudsley orange book - I have all three and this is the one I carry around with me. Rapid Psychiatry is a must-have pocket guide for medical students and junior doctors.

Powers very persuasively establishes non contradiction as the basis of philosophy in the West and in the East. Actually it is his life's work. Wittgenstein had to wait for some time to be contradicted. I am sure that philosophical discussion will get a new dimension after this work.
