Cannot recommend to anyone

I've been a Suttle fan from her first release and I've read every book in the four series that are put to bed by her latest book. Most of her books I've read more than a dozen times. I have to say though, she has lost it. She didn't just lose it in this book, the decline started several books ago. But as a diehard fan I accepted the decline and enjoyed the better moments in each book, at least until this effort. I have to believe she just wanted out of the mess she had written herself into but it would have been a better approach to take some time off and re-discover her love of telling a great story. Telling a great story is something she used to do very well.
She brings back all the major characters of her previous books and upgrades a couple dozen minor characters while she's at it. She then proceeds to jump from voice to voice, cycling through each of these characters in one or two page spurts. I would say it was confusing but only because I can't think of a stronger word to use. It was also quite frustrating and it was made worse by the fact she clearly used the extra voices to pad the story. She also used frequent bedroom scenes to make up for a lack of substance and on several occasions she even repeated dialogue.
Read this book if you absolutely cannot survive without closure for this series but under no circumstances allow this book to be your introduction to Connie Suttle's work. It does not do her justice despite all the 5 star reviews. And all you 5 star reviewers should be ashamed of yourselves. I don't know Connie the person but I want to believe that Connie the author will eventually apologize for this book. It is that bad.

Who's writing all of these five-star reviews????

I gave the book a three-star out of loyalty to the author after having read all of her other books. I'm only 28% of the way thru this book and I'm so frustrated with it I could scream. The constant changing from past to present and from one character's point of view to another's is driving me crazy. I will muddle my way thru this convoluted pile of story lines but I'm screaming all the way. Wish the "cast of hundreds" list on subtledemon.com had been updated before I tackled this book so I could look up the some of these people and re-figure how they fit into the story. It's like the author wrote a book thinking it's the only thing we've been reading so all of the characters are standing out vividly in our minds. Sorry, but I read 2-5 books a week and keeping this complex of a character system straight without a map is, as I said before, frustrating. Grinding my teeth, I'm going back to try and read some more of the book. Hope the ending is as crystal clear as some of the other reviewers have been raving about.

Disappointing end

Like many other reviewers, I've followed the entire series from Lissa through Ashe to Reah and now Breanne. Blood Finale was a complete muddle and a disappointing finish to a series that had great potential. It takes place in two time periods and contains the POV of multiple characters who are in both periods, sometimes simultaneously. No one voice lasts for more than two pages and there are over ten POV's to keep track of. In a rush to completion, the author resorts to deus ex machina trickery. Get your characters in untenable situations and add some previously unknown power to save them. When all else fails, she falls back on an old soap opera canon that states that death doesn't have to be permanent. The book reads as if the story had ADHD.. I finished it confused and disgruntled, no longer caring about the characters or their HEA's,
